DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Please do not apply if you are not a HANDS ON Java Developer 

• Direct a team of Product Development Managers to ensure the critical timelines are met in the Concept to Retirement product cycle
• Direct regular product assortment reviews
• Improve and implement agile development methodologies that will dramatically improve software quality, rapid development iterations designed to improve speed-to-market
• Champion and drive best practices and processes in the team: coding standards, code-reviews, check-ins and builds, change management efforts, risk and issue tracking, bug triages, testing and releases
• Provide leadership and motivation to the team to sustain high levels of productivity and morale of engineering team
• Collaborate with Product Management for product requirements, roadmap
• Work closely with Support team on customer critical issues, escalations and maintenance packs

REQUIRED

• Ability to work well in a team environment and brainstorm with other developers/senior developers on ideas, work flow and technologies or work independently as directed
• Strong technical, logical, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Strong communication / technical writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal and external clients
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a highly energized and fast-paced environment within a framework of constantly shifting deadlines and deliverables.
