Job Description

  • Pitch, write, and edit custom branded content, sponsored programs, and editorial integrations for the fashion and shopping channels. This includes: dedicated articles, shopping roundups, emails, social media, and co-branded collateral.
  • Maintain Refinery29 brand integrity in all copy and market work, and work with Ad Sales to enforce strict editorial guidelines.
  • Manage sold programs/stories from the editorial side. This includes working with editors for seamless integration, liaising with Ad Sales, Photo, Design, and Marketing teams, and producing editorial stories from start to finish, in order to meet strict client deadlines.
  • Perform market research and oversee product selection for sponsored shopping stories in accordance with R29’s aesthetic and brand vision
  • Produce original content for special projects, articles, sales and event collateral, and presentations.
  • Organize schedule of Brand Experiences program rollouts and integration with main editorial calendar.

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of professional writing and editing experience within digital media required  (fashion, styling, or market background is a plus)
  • A strong understanding of R29’s voice and style POV
  • Must be an excellent editor and writer, with a creative vision, spot-on judgment, and the ability to take raw copy and turn it into something truly special
  • A genuine interest in digital advertising, and specifically branded content
  • Willingness to make tough editorial decisions in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving environment, and to flag and escalate any potential issues to senior editors when necessary
  • A flawless command of spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Never-ending patience, and a positive attitude
