Job Description

Define and evolve BlaBlaCar’s global social media strategy

  • constantly brainstorming new ideas
  • defining key messages, and their articulation for different channels and audiences
  • prioritising channels and actions
  • pushing an ambitious vision of how we can develop our social media presence 

 Implement BlaBlaCar’s global social media strategy

  • project-managing coordinated actions across local communities, all in very different stages of maturity
  • supporting the growth of nascent communities in new markets
  • working to an agreed plan across social media platforms
  • ensuring all content is delivered in the appropriate tone of voice, aligned and consistent with the global strategy and on-brand
  • delivering a monthly blog content plan, writing strong, creative copy, and following it’s localisation across markets

 Lead social media best practises and benchmarking internally

  • facilitating knowledge and resource sharing between local community managers
  • sharing your own experience and knowledge by coaching and developing colleagues
  • maintaining and updating your expertise on the social media landscape and tools
  • obsessively benchmarking competitors and peers strategy
  • attending / speaking at networking & industry events, acting as the company’s social media authority

 Monitor BlaBlaCar's e-reputation 

  • building an internal brand monitoring process
  • defining and tracking KPIs
  • gathering qualitative insights on perception of the activity and brand

Qualifications

Mindset and Skills

  • Outstanding English writing skills.
  • Global vision: you speak several languages, are widely-travelled and happy to travel for work, and will feel at home working for a multi-local company, and with a team distributed all over the world.

  • Hands-on approach: you will enjoy and excel in planning project meetings, as well as supporting the team in day-to-day execution.

  • Expertise: you have a clear vision of how social media can build brands and businesses small and large, a strong understanding of how to engage, manage and grow social media communities, familiarity with social media management, monitoring and analytics tools (…). You are a proven social media expert.
  • Creativity: you are a confident and insightful content marketer, able to brainstorm and generate plenty of relevant ideas. 
  • Photoshop skills are a plus. 

 Experience

  • Writing effective and compelling copy for the web and social media to suit different audiences and channels
  • Delivering creative, relevant and action-driving social media output
  • Transferable experience will be valued, if relevant

Additional Information

  • Start: ASAP
  • Contract : Long-term contract 
  • Salary: Depends on profile and experience
  • Position: Based in Paris
