Our client, the world's leading supplier of Flexible Etched Circuits (FEC) for smart card applications, is looking for its Control & Vision Systems Engineer to be based in Singapore.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, install, qualify and industrialize new manufacturing equipments, mainly new vision systems equipments
  • Design and implementation of control systems, including vision systems at various manufacturing processes
  • Design and develop automated systems and full vision systems applications, including hardware and software integration, and associated equipments
  • Generate specifications for new equipments or for major improvements of existing equipments
  • Identify and select the vision cameras, lenses and lightings needed for vision inspection
  • Propose and compare potential suppliers
  • Follow up internal and external sub contracted works
  • Perform setting up and commissioning of the equipments, including buy-off and acceptance tests
  • Prepare Qualification Plans and overview industrialization phases
  • Ensure projects are done in accordance with schedule, cost and quality performance
  • Documentation related to projects, like maintenance and calibration procedures, works instructions, operating books, product control plans
  • Modify and improve current manufacturing equipments, to be able to reach the objectives in terms of health and safety, quality, reliability and productivity
  • Work on systems problems and design modifications to improve reliability, productivity and safety using failure analysis to determine root cause and recommend improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all mechanical and electrical codes, standards, regulations and industry best practices in the areas of :
  1. ISO norms
  2. Health and Safety rules
  3. QA procedures
  4. Process industrialization procedures, like transfer check list
  5. Process/Equipment change procedure
  • Work closely with the counterparts from other sites, to share and implement the best practices, methods and technologies of the manufacturing process
  • Close interaction with other business units of the group, on any change for process and equipments
  • Work in collaboration with manufacturing support teams to manage the projects with good efficiency
  • Collaborate in transverse projects, from other sites, to reach the common objectives of the group
  • Work with QA department to ensure the conformity of the new systems
  • Train QA and manufacturing teams to the new instructions
  • Present projects progress, during PEC and/or PAC meetings


Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics, or equivalent
  • Experience in vision systems development and image processing  
  • Knowledge of automated systems, PLC and industrial PC systems are preferred.
  • Knowledge of vision algorithms and vision software
  • Knowledge of camera vision, lens and lighting. Experience in vision application is expected.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, C+, C# languages
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to train and transfer his knowledge
  • Curiosity, innovative capacity
