Job Description

The Data team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Data Engineer to perform complex queries and data mining on production data (real-time and historical data). 
As a data crunching addict, your job will be understanding the business challenge, creating some valuable actionable insights to the data, and communicating results to the business. Working closely with the Growth team, you will join a small and efficient Data team.
In particular, you will have to :
  • Perform complex queries to deliver accurate and rich reports,
  • Build and maintain reliable ETL jobs,
  • Ensure Data Analysts could easily use and access data,
  • Create and maintain databases that will be usable and store the information required,
  • Figure out Teams needs and create solutions so that they can access data.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree or PhD from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge in SQL,
  • Proven ability to work with varied forms of data infrastructure, including relational databases (e.g. mySQL/PostgreSQL) and column store (e.g. Vertica)
  • Experience with data visualisation principles and tools such as Tableau,
  • Familiar with noSQL database concepts,
  • Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling could be a plus,
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, php, ...),
  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
