Job Description

OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity to call on and build long-term relationships with the world’s top publishers.  We’re looking for a great candidate to help us acquire & license the best content in the world across verticals and markets.  You’ll work directly with both major media brands and independent blogs / content creators to bring them on our platform.  You’ll negotiate and secure licensing deals to help them find new markets for syndication and ultimately build a secondary market for their content.  You’ll help publishers understand the value of their content and earn more revenue from the content they create.  You should be self-motivated, sales-oriented, and execution-focused while being consultative to publishers, with a proven track record of closing deals.

This role will be critical in helping us change the future of media and content marketing, and you’ll take direct ownership in building up a marketplace that returns millions of dollars back into the publisher ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, negotiate and close deals with premium content providers for the NewsCred platform across various verticals and markets
  • Contribute to and execute on content acquisition strategy, ensuring results meet target requirements
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Editorial teams to forecast content needs to drive demand for NewsCred’s technology and services
  • Work closely with legal to negotiate content licensing agreements and develop new templates
  • Work with Head of Content, Partnership Manager, and Editorial to monitor performance of content and evolve content acquisition strategy and deal structures accordingly
  • Negotiate with content providers in order to facilitate new licensing models that support partnerships and new product offerings

 

 

Qualifications


REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 –5 years experience in business development, content acquisition, online media or similar industries
  • Stellar written & verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, self-starter with a collaborative mindset
  • Strategic yet execution-oriented
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for digital media. Excitement for content marketing and evolution of brands as publishers is a major plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
