Job Description

We’re looking for an YouTube Coordinator to manage and grow the Refinery29 YouTube channel. Our marketing team has a passion for editorial content and is extremely organized and analytical (see our blog: intelligence.r29.com). This is a cross-departmental role driving our Youtube programming and involves working hand in hand with our video and creative teams as part of a fast-growing video operation. The right candidate will combine community development, programming and analytics skills to drive more views and subscribers to the Refinery29 YouTube channel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow Refinery29’s YouTube community.
  • Manage day-to-day operations on the Refinery29 YouTube channel, including programming and scheduling.
  • Analyze and report on key metrics to drive overall YouTube strategy
  • Continually test and evaluate new strategies and tactics, in an effort
 to evolve and improve our product offering.
  • Work closely with our video team to experiment with video content and packaging
  • Craft partnerships with brands and influencers to help grow the YouTube audience. E.g. Reach out to YouTube video channels/creators.
  • Collaborate across teams to collectively produce YouTube optimized strategies and content.
  • Drive competitive analysis and intelligence and incorporate best practices.

Qualifications

  • 1- 2 years of relevant work experience for a fast-paced, growing digital company.
  • Knowledge of the YouTube platform and ecosystem.
  • Headline and SEO copy writing experience.
  • Extremely analytical.
  • Experience using video reporting tools, Google Analytics or similar
  • Knowledge of Excel modeling plus fluency in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and have experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to handle pressure and work to deadlines.
  • Organized and able to multitask efficiently.
  • Interested in marketing and fashion, love the thrill of working at a start-up, and be clued in to new developments on the Internet.
