Job Description

Refinery29—the Webby-winning fashion & lifestyle authority for millennial women—is in search of a Content Strategist, Shopping to help inform our Shopping and Market Editor make deft, metric-driven decisions that propel the shopping experience on R29 to next-level greatness.

 

This analytical role requires a strategic and data-driven thinker with a passion for all aspects of next-generation fashion and shopping—from products to people and from trends to technology—that speaks to smart, creative, modern women EVERYWHERE.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with the Editorial and Product teams to develop a content strategy around product discovery on R29, focused on driving value for our retail partners and users alike
  • Partner with shopping editors to develop and optimize performance of content franchises, a content calendar, and distribution strategies
  • Track performance of designers, retailers, product categories, and price points across all content, to help inform editorial and product decisions
  • Monitor the market for opportunities (exclusive sales, collaborations, etc.)
  • Monitor what people are buying and gravitating towards from our stories
  • Make suggestions on story ideas/market work framed around what people are wanting/buying on a weekly, monthly basis

Qualifications

  • You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience for a fast-paced, growing digital company
  • You are extremely analytical
  • You have great communication skills and have worked with cross-functional teams
  • You have expertise using Google Analytics and similar web reporting tools
  • You are naturally inquisitive and love to solve problems using data
  • You want to test every story on our site
  • You understand how to run experiments and are comfortable using data to draw conclusions from them
  • You are proficient in Excel and fluent in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
  • You are a consumer of digital media
