We are seeking a Specialist to help us sell Band Saw Blades throughout all of our locations.  This position supports all of our branch locations in Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, and beyond.  While we prefer to have someone based out of Oregon, it is not required.

It is the responsibility of the Band Saw Specialist to present a product portfolio that includes such products as high-quality band saw blades, professional trade hand tools, power tool accessories, sawing fluids, metal working fluids & cleaners catered to the industrial& MRO markets while observing the principals stated in Stellar’s Mission Statement and Vision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

More specifically, it is the responsibility of the Band Saw Specialist to work with and support:

I. Outside Sales Development and Marketing

1. Support coverage of assigned accounts and/or within an assigned geography

2. Assist sales management in reaching business plan goals

3. Understand and achieve sales targets and objectives

4. Demonstrate products and train customers on product applications

5. Sell Lenox products such as: band saw blades, professional trade hand tools, power tool accessories, sawing fluids, etc.

6. Understand customer processes and sell value versus price

7. Work with Stellar Industrial Supply sales representatives, customer specifications, and material approvals through conducting joint sales calls and providing product training

8. Drive forecast attainment for a zone

9. Understand distributor business strategy

10. Develop strong relationships with, Lenox sales representatives, Stellar branch managers, CSR’s, current customers and prospects

11. Understand customer business priorities

12. Understand customer manufacturing processes

13. Utilize solution-based selling skills

14. Manage business planning and execution process

15. Track and measure results against business plan

16. Meet or exceed customer expectations

• Cutting tool technical applications knowledge required

• Cutting tool MFG knowledge preferred

• Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing or related industry required

• Outside sales experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, personable, well organized, and works well by themselves and with other team members

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Willingness to travel overnight to all Stellar locations
