Job Description

Report to: Director HR APMEA

Role purpose:

The Talent and Organisational Development Manager is a key enabler of organisational excellence at the Company as they partner with business leaders to build talent, organisational capability and engagement across the business and deliver improved individual and organisational performance.

Through the development of tailored OD initiatives and robust execution of The Company’s core HR Strategies (Safety First, Building Collective Strength, Home Grown Leaders and Unlocking Engagement) the T&OD General Manager will deliver:

  • Increasing capability and leadership depth across the business
  • Consistent and proactive talent management and succession planning
  • A continually improving and engaging workplace culture that supports and delivers high individual and organisational performance.  
  • A cohesive and effective learning framework and suite of resources across APMEA
  • Collaborate across the organisation to ensure frameworks are consistently applied and leveraged

Role accountabilities

  1. Develop Capability and Capacity

Partner with business leaders including HR community to build the capability and capacity of the Company people  so that they are able to realise their full potential and optimise their contribution to the business, deliver against business performance and growth objectives.  This will include:

  • Design and delivery of targeted and tailored programs and learning experiences that deliver against the the Company business plan. These will include high individual and team performance interventions, leadership capability & capacity programs, leadership & technical competencies, functional & technical skill development programs such as the Sales Academy, Marketing & Innovation Academy
  • Robust deployment of the Company’s OD & performance management frameworks and resources across  APMEA
  • Robust management of Operations Technical Training framework, including Train the Trainer, Standard Operating Procedures & Compliance Training
  • Manage any budget related to spend on training & development across APMEA
  • Governance of SAP training across businesses

 

2. Leadership Development

Lead the ongoing ,the development, deployment and governance of a leadership framework that delivers a high performance, innovative and collaborative leadership style across The Company APMEA and delivers against our strategy of home grown leaders and building collective strength.  This will include:

  • The development, deployment and governance of a leadership development framework that delivers against the Company APMEA Performance Optimisation Plan (Strategy, Structure, Capability & Culture) and reflects the Pan Operating Framework.
  • Design and delivery of targeted and tailored programs and learning experiences that deliver against the the Company APMEA Leadership Framework and reflects The Company Cooperative’s Leadership Framework.
  • Management of key talent across business experiences and roles to strengthen overall Pan talent pipeline
  • Partner across the business and other stakeholders to attract and retain the talent needed to drive high  performance outcomes
  • Develop a talent & leadership culture and mindset with leaders across the business

 

3. Organisational Development

Transform The Company APMEA’s organisational culture by increasing employee engagement, facilitating high performance teams, and developing new ways of working together and collaborating including the encouragement of diverse thinking and innovative outcomes.  This will include:

  • Leadership of the engagement framework and proactive partnership with business leaders and engagement coaches to embed Engagement tools within the business to deliver highly engaged work environments.
  • Design and delivery of targeted and tailored programs and learning experiences that deliver against the Company APMEA Performance Optimisation Plan (Strategy, Structure, Capability & Culture) and reflects The Company Cooperative’s Leadership Framework. 

Qualifications

Education:

  • HR, Education or Business Studies Degree or other related discipline

Experience :

  • Proven experience in building & management of capability & leadership, deployment of OD initiatives in large-scale business 
  • Minimum of 6 - 8 years of work experience in large, complex corporate environments, managing organisational transformation across multiple functions & geographies
  • Experience in a relevant business environment, ideally within an FMCG, manufacturing or globally competitive business.

Expertise:

  • Proven experience in facilitating the growth of individual performance and high performing cohesive teams, organisational development & behaviour, talent development, change management and project management.
  • Competent in organisational influence, business partnering, and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Credibility as a sound operator and trusted advisor within the human resources function.
  • Strong leadership skills and personal credibility and integrity
  • Strong business acumen – ability to align strategy with commercial outcomes
  • Cross-cultural awareness and ability to build strong relationships across organisational levels, geographies and functions
