Job Description

It is the responsibility of warehouse person to work as a valuable member of the branch, to support branch operations through efficiency and accuracy in the warehouse, while observing the principals stated in Stellar’s Mission Statement and Vision.

Major responsibilities and expectations:

1)      Accurately and efficiently pick, pack and process customer orders and transfers:

a)      Understand basic P21 Order Entry and Transfer entry functions

b)      Use the P21 system and WWMS (Wireless Warehouse Management Solution) to accurately pick customer orders and transfers

c)      Pack orders and transfers properly for shipping, with appropriate paperwork and labeling

d)      Accurately prepare and ship orders using P21 and UPS system, recording shipments properly and shipping using instructions from order

e)      Perform all above tasks while meeting the company standards for safety and security

2)      Accurately receive, put away and cycle count inventory:

a)      Understand basic P21 PO Entry function

b)      Use P21 and WWMS to accurately record receipt of PO and transfer items in a timely fashion on the same day that it arrives

c)      Process any problem shipments timely and accurately, communicating immediately with the proper departments, including but not limited to:

i)        Freight claims

ii)      Supplier short shipments or damaged shipments

d)      Accurately put stock away in a timely and quick manner in appropriate, assigned warehouse locations

e)      Perform accurate and timely cycle counts based on branch commitment to 100% count 2X annually

f)       Perform all above tasks while meeting the company standards for safety and security

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of warehouse related experience is preferable, but not required
  • Basic knowledge of math
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook programs
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Requires standing, stooping, reaching and walking for continuous periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Must be able to perform repetitive work with your hands and arms
  • Basic understanding of Lean concepts and 5S strategies highly desired
