Our client, a satellite data localization and monitoring company, is looking for its Business Development Manager to be based in Jakarta.

Job Description

Reporting line: President Director 

Job scope:

Develop the Company’s business through increased sales to existing Customers and development of new markets based on the Group services and products.


Responsibilities :

1. Retention of existing Customers

• Work in coordination with the other departments of the Company to meet Customer’s needs, maintain and develop existing relationships

• Anticipate dissatisfaction, potential issue or new requirements from the Customers.


2. New Business Development :

• Identify potential new Customer and decision maker in Customer’s organization

• Inquire potential Customer for information related to product and services used

• Build new relationships by managing and interpreting Customer’s requirements 

• Handle, and when possible anticipate, questions and objections of potential Customer 

• Organize sales activity such as develop proposal, set up meetings, perform sales presentation.


3. Business Development Planning

• Attend industry events such as exhibitions or conferences related to the Company's business

• Present and consult with management about business trend and market condition, competitor and other related issues

• Assess competition presence in each sector of the Company’s activities and identify the main threats as well as the solutions to resist / beat the competition

• Follow closely the activity and the new developments of the Group to constantly adapt the offer of the Company to the Customers’ expectations.


4. Administrative

• Forecast the sales targets and associated costs to prepare and update budget

• Recording and maintaining Customer contact data

• Submit weekly and monthly reports and ensure data is accurate

• Liaising with other the departments of the Company and organize regular sales and marketing meetings in order all team players involved are on the same page

• Prepare and follow agreements signed with clients, ensure the invoices are paid and a proper service and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Preferably an engineering degree from a recognized university

• Preferably minimum 5 years’ experienceat the same position in a similar business

• Excellent Business Development and Networking skills

• Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (taking into account the background of the Company, French will be a plus)

• Have a good logical thinking, neat and organized working methods

• Self motivated, high level of initiative, responsive, pro-active and hardworking.

• Able to travel within and outside Indonesia for business.
