Overview

Seeking creative, self-starting art and creative design interns worldwide - with a passion for all things Creative, Social Media, and Virtual Organizations - to support, under strict supervision in a 100% virtual organization environment, VOMI Global Think Tank and Advisory Board.  Will conceptualize and design original art for stories, publications, websites, event productions, mobile media interfaces (iphone, android, etc.),  social media, social media production, exhibit spaces, product design, and interior environment design; and have an opportunity to follow their vision from concept to completion.   Will also conduct image research for existing images that meet our needs and requirements as well as brainstorm on ways to illustrate complex concepts explored by VOMI.     May also have an opportunity to participate as speaker at global web-media-conferences based on overall background and qualifications and depending on length of internship.   May also be involved, under strict supervision, in planning and/or attending Board meetings;  learning and using virtual organization parliamentary procedures based on VOMI's Rules of Order; and recording and transcribing minutes of board meeting.     

This is a 30-Day UNPAID Global-Virtual Internship,  with a possibility of being extended for up to a maximum period of 90 days based on your initial performance during the first 30 days.  Our internship program is Year-Round and is open to all applicants worldwide who meet our strict requirements.   All selected interns who have successfully completed the maximum total of 90 days of internship will receive a $1500 stipend for tuition and education expenses subject to meeting all other stipend award requirements.

Qualification Requirements: 

You must be an undergraduate or graduate student (anywhere in the world)  majoring in Art and Creative Design or a related discipline.  A background in illustration or graphic design is a must.  Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is required; and familiarity or proficiency with various web-based art and creative design and social media production tools is a big plus.  Ability to work effectively and in harmony with colleagues from diverse cultures and professional backgrounds is critical.  Must have a min 3.00 GPA in your major or equivalent; a 3.5 GPA is preferred.   Admission is limited only to undergraduate students who will receive course credit for the internship, however, a waiver of this requirement due to extenuating circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis; and to graduate students.   As well, we require the following:

• Willingness and ability to operate and manage, under strict supervision, in a 100% virtual organization environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and research skills. 
• Highly disciplined, focused, and extraordinary ability to adapt and thrive in a virtual organization.
• Must be totally self-sufficient in a 100% virtual environment.
• High-speed internet access on a 24-hour basis.
• Proficiency with Google Docs and all Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency with CS Suite, Alias, Maya, Light Wave, After Effects, etc., is a big plus. 
• Fluency in English required, additional language proficiency (French, Chinese, etc.) is a plus.
