Cynvenio is a molecular information technology company focused on individualizing cancer treatment by providing longitudinal insights into each patient via the genomic analysis of their cancer from a standard blood draw. Our proprietary instrumentation, sample handling, cell sorting, and molecular detection technologies enable the monitoring of patients’ individual mutations for therapy selection or clinical trials. The LiquidBiopsy test is used to complement tissue biopsy or when traditional biopsy material is unavailable or cannot be recovered.

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative scientist at the PhD level or equivalent with a background in diagnostics and oncology to manage a variety of projects. The scientist will be responsible for coordinating, identifying, and designing new methods, protocols and reagents to use in the analysis and characterization of rare events, such as circulating tumor cells, from clinical samples. Experience with assay validation and reagent development is required. As the driver for new techniques and reagents for assay development, the successful candidate will need to be skilled in optimizing assay performance as well as conducting validation of assays and verification with clinical samples. The candidate will need to be comfortable in a dynamic, interdependent and innovative development environment and have a broad background in multiple disciplines including cell biology, FACS analysis, protein chemistry and image analysis. Candidates should be able to manage multiple projects, coordinating technical activities and targets, and independently prioritizing work loads within a small work group.
